Grown by Jairo Arcila at Villarazo Farm in Armenia, Quindío, Colombia, this exceptional Yellow Sudan Rume is one of the rarest varieties in specialty coffee. Originating from the Boma Plateau in South Sudan, near the Ethiopian border, Sudan Rume is known for its delicate nature, low yields and extraordinary cup quality.
What makes this lot particularly special is that some of the trees at Villarazo naturally produce yellow cherries, a rare mutation that Jairo and his team have carefully cultivated and separated to create this distinctive offering.
The cherries undergo 45 hours of aerobic fermentation, followed by 10 days of drying on raised beds, a carefully managed process designed to preserve the variety's natural intensity and clarity.
This coffee reflects the Arcila family's dedication to innovation, quality and pushing the boundaries of Colombian specialty coffee.
